DeviceHub is Milesight’s cloud platform for remote management of industrial router deployments. From a single dashboard, monitor connectivity status, configure devices, push firmware updates, set up VPN connections, and view diagnostic data across the full estate of deployed units.
What DeviceHub Does
- Device monitoring – real-time status, signal strength, data usage, uptime for every unit in the estate
- Remote configuration – push configuration changes to individual units or groups without site visits
- Firmware updates – schedule and push firmware updates across the fleet
- VPN management – configure and monitor OpenVPN and IPsec tunnels
- Alerts – email or webhook notification on connectivity loss, SIM failover, or threshold events
- Diagnostics – remote packet capture, ping tests, traceroute from the device’s perspective
Cloud vs Self-Hosted
DeviceHub is available as a cloud-hosted service (Milesight-managed infrastructure, subscription per device) or as a self-hosted deployment on your own server for organisations with data sovereignty requirements. The self-hosted option uses the same interface and feature set. For most UK deployments, the cloud-hosted service is the practical choice.
Getting Started
Register for DeviceHub at iot.milesight.com. Add devices by entering the device serial number or scanning the QR code on the router label. The router connects to DeviceHub automatically over the cellular WAN connection – no inbound ports required on the device. Initial configuration takes around 5 minutes per device for a standard deployment.
DeviceHub vs Teltonika RMS
Teltonika RMS is the most common alternative management platform encountered in UK industrial deployments. Both provide equivalent core functionality. DeviceHub has a cleaner, more modern UI that most users find faster to navigate. RMS has a larger installed base and more community-developed plugins. For new deployments with no existing RMS investment, DeviceHub is the stronger choice.
